Let's cruise to Petaluma!
Come join the fun with TYC Friday, September 24th - September 26th, as we cruise up the beautiful (and recently dredged) Petaluma River to downtown Petaluma! Yes, you did hear me say that the long-neglected Petaluma River, entry channel and turning basin were dredged to 8 feet depth below MLLW in a 100' wide channel. So if you are a sailor with a keel that can handle 8' now would be the time to come along with the power fleet to explore the interesting antique shops, intriguing boutiques, tasty restaurants, and mmm-licious wine and beer houses that make Petaluma one of the most cruised-to destinations on the Bay. Sign up here.
As usual, we'll plan to leave the Cay mid-morning to catch the flood at Petaluma River Entrance which runs from 9:49a to 3:48p. This should help us avoid the wind against ebb which can cause rough going in the shallows around the approach channel. Most important is to schedule our D St. Bridge opening- well in advance - as the bridge is not manned all day long. More details as we get closer.

As for fun, here's a sneak-peek for how we'll spend the weekend...we're working to make sure we have safe, outside-dining choices. More details before we leave on the 24th.
