This is your best opportunity in years to explore the Delta, meet cruisers from many other clubs, and enjoy your boat on a relaxing mini-vacation.
If you're planning or likely to join us for some or all of the cruise, please sign up early so our cruise captain (from Petaluma YC) can make sure there is docking available. You can always revise your plans.
You have the opportunity to visit some or all of these Delta destinations:
- Pittsburg Yacht Club*
- Devil's Isle*
- Delta Yacht Club
- Discovery Bay Yacht Club*
- Raft-out - location TBD
* - These clubs will offer at least one dinner
Going up, you have the option to stop over at Pittsburg YC, enjoy their famous Friday night dinner and meet cruisers-in from Sacramento YC. Or you can proceed directly to the weekend destination, Devil's Isle, shared with Petaluma YC and also Oxbow YC, which is serving a Saturday night dinner. (Devil's Isle has no services - just a dock and a shed for the barbecue.)
From July 23 - 27 we will enjoy the lovely Delta Yacht Club, one notch (OK, one island) above Tinsley, in the company of Petaluma YC and the SF Bay Area Nordic Tug Association.
Delta YC is a mini-resort, with a pool, pitch and putt golf course, outdoor barbecues, indoor galley and dining, large screen TV, board and table games, crawdad fishing and eating, lots of island for walking around, and plentiful docking for side ties for everyone, with power and water on the dock.
On the weekend we will make a rare visit to Discovery Bay Yacht Club on Friday and Saturday, July 27 - 28. They have a professional staff for Friday night dinners and Sunday brunches, and may offer us something for Saturday night as well.
Then extend your Delta vacation with a raft-out. The choice from among the Delta's many quiet and scenic anchorages will be discussed during the cruise.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
- For Devil's Isle, you must mail in this reservation form to Oxbow YC for receipt by July 13 - no exceptions.
- For Friday dinner at Pittsburg YC, we will be piggybacking on Vallejo YC, so please email Forrest Blue at PYC once you decide so he can notify Vallejo. Most of the PYC people will be going directly to Devil's Isle.
