A call to Tiburon Yacht Club members:
Nothing is more important to your enjoyment of your club than the clubhouse.
Over the past 22 years it has served our membership well and provided a beautiful spot for parties and other celebrations for our members.
But the years wear on a well-used building. So it's time to refresh the clubhouse to provide enjoyment for current and future members for years to come. These changes will increase the engagement of our current membership, attract new members, and increase rental interest.
Our renovations will focus on our main room and provide new paint to brighten the space, new flooring to replace the old carpet, new double pane windows where the seals have leaked, a resurfaced flat roof and new furniture to reflect the brighter, modernized space. We also need additional railings to ensure our ramp complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. These improvements will provide a fresh look for the clubhouse, improve the member experience, help attract new members and increase rental income.
These renovations cannot be supported by our current reserves and your annual dues, bar, galley, and rental income only cover day-to-day maintenance, taxes, insurance, and other ongoing expenses for the club. We're looking to you, TYC members, to contribute financially to the future of the club. We estimate these improvements will cost $50,000. These donations will be placed in a separate bank account and will be dedicated to capital improvements.
