Welcome Bay Area Youth Sailors to The BAYS #5 Championship Regatta. This page is your source for information both about the racing as well as the venue.

The mission of BAYS is to encourage and promote the growth of junior sailing and racing in Northern California. Focused on children and teens ages eight to eighteen, BAYS is founded on the premise that sailing is unique in the developmental opportunities it offers to young people. In addition to sheer fun and the opportunity to develop life-long boat handling and racing skills, sailing builds character through its time-honored emphasis on self-reliance, teamwork and sportsmanship

Notice of Race

Invited fleets are c420, cFJ, Laser Full, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, and Optimist classes.
The regatta will be governed by the 2005-2008 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the Prescriptions of US Sailing, this Notice of Race, and the Sailing Instructions.

Overnight CAMPING will be permitted on the eastern side of the TYC Club House

Schedule of Events

Racing will commence at 10:00 am Saturday and Sunday. (Condition permitting!)
All events (except for racing) will take place in the TYC Clubhouse

Saturday August 30th
8:30-10:00am 10:00am 10:30am 10:30am 5:00pm (approx) onwards	Registration and Rigging Skippers Meeting First Race, Alpha Course First Race, Bravo Course Dinner & on shore activities
Sunday August 31st
10:00am 10:00am 3:00pm 4:00pm (approx)	First Race, Alpha Course First Race, Bravo Course No race starts after this time Prize-Giving
